Raw Irish Sea Moss is used to create Sea Moss Gel that is then either consumed as is or used in smoothies & other beverages, in cooking as a thickener for soups and other dishes, and topically for skincare and skincare product formulation.

Quick overview of how to process Raw Sea Moss into Sea Moss Gel:

• Clean the Sea Moss thoroughly removing any sand, debris or foreign particles present.
  
• Soak in Spring or Alkaline water for up to 8 hours and then strain the sea moss. The Sea Moss should expand at least 4 times its size.
  
• Blend the Sea Moss immediately by adding water up to 2/3 of the sea moss in the blender, and blend on high until the gel is smooth.
  
• Alternatively, cook the Sea Moss in a pot with water. Please search the web for more details on this method. Blend as instructed above.
  
• Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. The Sea Moss Gel should thicken as it cools in the refrigerator.
  

The resulting gel should be kept refrigerated and should last 2-3 weeks. It can also be frozen for longer storage. Also, keep in mind that if your resulting product doesn't form a perfect gel, all the nutrients are still there and it is still consumable.
